aubrey's makeup for her wedding...she made it easy by being so pretty ...it is always slightly nerve racking to be responsible for a brides face but it is also so neat to be part of their big day...she was such an easy bride to work with and knew just what she wanted

people had alot to say about the way they met but love it or hate it, it is a crazy story and an even better ending! congrats aub!! so happy for you!

do you ever get anxiety and feel like you can't post anything for like half a month? ya me neither...but here's some of halloweens highlights:

face painting...the boys stuck with the same ones i posted earlier

and handing out candy to the trickers and treaters

the boys made ghosts we hung all over the room ceilings...and a black and orange balloon mass but i forgot to photo it

lots of pumpkin patch visits...they are like mini fairs and i love them...and it makes me miss living in a small town

me and teen partied it up...or just got ready and took pics and made some drop ins to validate the get ups...and if you can guess what we are you are officially smarter than anyone in Huntington beach

and since michael is doing the candy deal (they get 100 dollars for one year of no candy) we had to find a new way of overloading on sugar and treats this year...all homemade sweet goodness...which means i think it's practically health food...i mean a homemade donut has to be healthier then store bought right??

whats spookier then homemade antelope jerky? not sure but it's pretty tasty

just kidding we just take halloween seriously around here and i firmly believe holidays should be celebrated all month long

other things i learned while babysitting:

• McDonalds is bad for you (say what??)
• the force is real because you can use it to make your line in disneyland go faster then the one next to you
• i'mgoing to be a really cool mom (albeit this was told during a trip to yogurtland on the way home from the dentist)
• it's actually really cool that i get to live with grandma and grandpa and have access to all the best toys all the time (word)
• a day can be the best day ever when you see a truck pull out of the gas station with the pump still attached in the car and drive off with it then come return it...simple pleasures

all day long at work people tell me to do whatever i think with their makeup...
it's a lie...they know exactly how they want their makeup to look...
so teen being the teendream she is, let me take my stress out on her face (not quite as de-stressing as taking it out on a boys face...but much more productive...just joshing mom) she didn't even bat an eye when she saw me dipping black for lips, red and purple for eyes or mixing bronze shimmers with lotions and applying liberally to the whole face...or even question smudging her mascara under her eyes in utter wrecklessness..k maybe she questioned that one...

the funny thing is its such crummy lighting you cant really tell what the makeup looks like...but she's so pretty and her hair color is new and all...im just putting pretty things out into the world...you're welcome world

remember that awful song? teeny and i went to a masquerade thing... but who'd want to hide these faces? butterfly wings and glitter for us thanks (only after teen told me that holding up a stick with feathers next to ur face does not count as a mask...what would i do without my friends?)

it is kinda real fun to have a beat up* makeup face when people think it is real and react funny(i take it as a compliment to my work)

atleast until you get to the gas station and maybe think the cute guy next to you is totally checking you out...until you realize it is actually concern for your face, or fear you are about to steal his money...save the romantic comedy meet-cute for another day and another kind of makeup i guess *sigh*

i loved how the bruises on her neck turned out...(which by the way...if u saw a girl with bruises looking like someone grabbed her neck would you ask what happened? lots of people did and i thought it was weird)

it all looked alot better in real life because we shot these at night, inside, with poor lighting...and some flash...also my other disclaimer is that my makeup kit from school is basically one of those awful makeup palletes your mom gives you from CVS when you are too young to wear makeup

ok so i am still not done editing these...i know i know...and these were also taken by david bourne...but since i am helping i feel like i get to say that they are by david and me...hey its my blog....

also alot of times i run into people who say that they look at this blog...and i never knew because they don't leave a comment....well not alot but to me it is....i love knowing my friends look or even people i don't know...so here is the bribe...leave a comment...actually leave as many as u want...and i will draw a name...and whoever i draw can have a drawing or painting of them or whatever they want ( but not like an entire family please...limit of two peeps in a pic) or any print of anything posted so far or i can take your pic...it's your call, along with a few other handmade goodies...maybe not the best incentive but atleast it will force me to get a piece done....

so im in love with nars heatwave red/orange lipstick

i have always been scared to wear bright lips cuz they dont look very angelina at all...in fact they might be real small but a few months in cosmetics has cured it...this color is bright red but real real orangey so perfect for summer ...and when i get a tan soon...

and since i couldn't find a true picture of it i did what any normal girl would do and took a picture of myself in a mirror...only mine are door mirrors so its cool not concieted*(**)

3 good things about this lipstick

1. it lasts so so so long...as in through work a concert and a dance party

2. when you wear it you don't want to eat in fear of messing it so you get real skinny

3. boys may tell you that you look kissable or that you look like you want to kiss...either way seems like a win win...(but unless they state that as an invitation...dont ask them if it is one...trust me on this)
